We upload the fourth essay in the series of “Invitation to the Japanese maritime law from key concepts” (renamed from “Understanding the Japanese maritime law from key concepts”) to examine the “ownership” of a ship and a “shipowner” prepared by Mr. Akiyoshi Ikeyama, attorney-at-law of our corporation.
As is the case of his preceding essays, Japanese and English versions are available. Both are intended to discuss Japanese law, including international conventions to which Japan is or may be a state party.
