As you know news media is reporting every day that the situation surrounding Brexit is becoming more and more chaotic. In the circumstances Mr. Akiyoshi Ikeyama, Mr. Narabu Ito and Mr. Satoshi Fukamachi of our corporation, as lawyers handling issues related to contract of carriage, prepared a paper, “A preliminary study on effects of Brexit (in particular No Deal Brexit) to contracts for international carriage of goods by sea”, as attached. This is just to make general observations within limited time and information but we would be more than happy if this is of any help to the readers. The situation is still fluid and uncertain.
